Ban or delete abusive users
I'd like to hear recommendations on a best practice for handling abusive
users (for whatever reason) on an authenticated Website.
Is there any point in keeping the user in the database with a "banned"
flag, or may you just as well delete the user?
Of course, in the latter case, people may re-register with the same email
address, but in the prior case they may just as well re-register with a
new, disposable email address, or a new mail alias on a domain they own.
So is there any real point of keeping banned accounts in the database?
